    This Course is Aimed at

    This qualification will suit you if you are working in process technology in chemicals or pharmaceuticals and are training under supervision as a process operator. You may be preparing to start an apprenticeship.

    Overview

    This qualification provides the Gold Standard Level 2 basic process maintenance skills, competence and knowledge requirement for individuals working in the chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. To achieve the qualification learners must obtain 18 credits from a series of mandatory units.

    • Prepare Work Areas for the Maintenance of Process Engineering Plant and Equipment
    • Reinstate the Work Area after Completing the Maintenance of Process Engineering Plant and Equipment
    • Maintain the Condition of Engineering Assets

    Learning Outcomes

    This qualification confirms occupational competence in basic maintenance of plant and equipment in the process industries. Learners have the opportunity to progress to the full Gold Standard - Level 2 Certificate in Operations and Technical Support in the Process Industries (QCF) and will get credits towards this qualification.
