  The Operations and Technical Support in the Process Industries certificate is the Gold Standard level 2 qualification that includes working safely to prepare, run, complete and handover processing operations, basic maintenance operations and a range of ancillary support services.

  This Course is Aimed at
  This qualification will suit you if you are working in process technology in chemicals or pharmaceuticals and have some relevant knowledge and skills, usually from a role where you've been supervised such as a process operator. You may be completing an apprenticeship.
  Overview
  This qualification provides the Gold Standard level 2 skills, competence and knowledge requirement for individuals working in the chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. To achieve the qualification learners must obtain a minimum total of 29 credits from a range of mandatory and optional units.

  Core Mandatory units: Work Safely Prepare for Processing Control, Monitor and Adjust the Processing Operations Complete Processing Operations Optional units: Clean and Prepare Complex Items of Plant and Equipment for Production Prepare Process Materials According to Instructions Maintain the Condition of Engineering Assets Transfer Materials Into and Between Stages of Production Sample and Test Materials Handover Work in Aseptic or Clean Room Conditions Separate and Dispose of Processing Materials, By-Products and Wastes Prepare Work Areas for the Maintenance of Process Plant and Equipment Reinstate the Work Area after Completing the Maintenance of Process Engineering Plant and Equipment
