  • Process Engineering Maintenance (QCF) Level 2 NVQ Certificate

    The Process Engineering Maintenance certificate is the Gold Standard level 2 qualification for individuals working as electrical, I&C or mechanical engineers in a processing environment. It covers planned maintenance, removal & replacement of components, reinstating the work area; handover of process plant and equipment and dealing with hazards.

    This Course is Aimed at

    This qualification will suit you if you are working as an engineer in electrical, instrument & control or maintenance in a process manufacturing environment and are working under supervision or about to start an apprenticeship.

    Overview

    This qualification provides the Gold Standard level 2 skills, competence and knowledge requirement for individuals working in electrical, instrument & control or maintenance process engineering. To achieve the qualification learners must obtain a minimum total of 28 credits from a series of mandatory and optional units.

    Programme Content and Key Areas

    Mandatory:

    • Reinstate the Work Area after Completing the Maintenance
    • Contribute to Handover of Process Plant and Equipment
    • Contribute to Dealing with Hazards
    • Maintain Effective Working Relationships
    • Contribute to Planned Maintenance of either Electrical, I&C or Mechanical Equipment


    Optional:

    (apply to either electrical, instrument & control or mechanical engineering)

    • Prepare Work Areas for the Maintenance
    • Prepare Loads for Moving
    • Move Loads
    • Contribute to the Preparation of Materials for the Maintenance
    • Contribute to the Preparation of Process Plant and equipment
    • Assemble components
    • Contribute to the Removal of Components

    Learning Outcomes

    This qualification confirms occupational competence in engineering in a process manufacturing environment at Level 2 for electrical, instrument & control or mechanical engineers and learners have the opportunity to progress to team leader roles and associated qualifications at higher level.
