    The Polymer/Polymer Composite Operations diploma is for people who currently work in polymer or composite manufacturing operations. Typically you maybe an advanced apprenticeship or progressing from a process operator job role.

    Overview
    This qualification provides recognition of the Gold Standard level 3 skills, competence and knowledge for individuals working in polymer or composite manufacturing operations. It is made up of 2 pathways: polymer machine operations and polymer hand-based operations. Both the machine operations pathways and the hand-based pathway have a 39 credit minimum requirement. The pathways contain mandatory and optional units.

    Mandatory:

    • Meet Safety, Health and Environmental Requirements in the Workplace
    • Rectify Process Problems


    For machine operations:

    • Configure and Set Processing Systems to Meet Production Requirements
    • Optimise Operations which are under Process Control


    For hand-based operations:

    • Carry Out Complex Manual Operations
    • Evaluate and Adjust Manual Operations


    Optional:

    • Carry Out Routine Servicing Procedures on Polymer Process Plant and Equipment
    • Carry Out Complex Sampling Operations
    • Carry Out Complex Testing Operations
    • Provide Technical Support
    • Plan Polymer Process Activities
