  Overview
  This course gives delegates the understanding of how plant process drawings relate to the operations of a working plant.
  Programme Content and Key Areas
  Balloon symbols. Instrument loop numbers. Flow measuring devices. Manual control valves. P&ID diagrams.
  Learning Outcomes
  To provide delegates with the knowledge to interpret piping and instrument diagrams to BS 1646 standards. At the end of the course the delegate should: Recognise and understand the line types used in the standards. Recognise and understand the types of instrument ‘balloon’ symbols used. Understand the make-up of instrument loop numbers. Recognise and understand the symbols used in indicate flow measuring devices. Recognise and understand the symbols used for manual and control valves. Recognise and understand the line types used to indicate different transmission signals.
