This course gives delegates the understanding of how plant process drawings relate to the operations of a working plant.

Learning Outcomes |
To provide delegates with the knowledge to interpret piping and instrument diagrams to BS 1646 standards. At the end of the course the delegate should:- Recognise and understand the line types used in the standards.
- Recognise and understand the types of instrument ‘balloon’ symbols used.
- Understand the make-up of instrument loop numbers.
- Recognise and understand the symbols used in indicate flow measuring devices.
- Recognise and understand the symbols used for manual and control valves.
- Recognise and understand the line types used to indicate different transmission signals.
- Have practised interpreting typical examples of P&ID for a large scale training rig.
