    This Course is Aimed at

    Existing front line supervisors who are going to be involved in project delivery and supervisors, who are working with Project Managers, supervising those employees or contractors who are installing, building or commissioning the project.

    Overview

    Leading in the Process Industries is a comprehensive course of 7 modules designed to meet the requirements of new supervisors and existing supervisors who would like to refresh their competencies.

    This one day module aims to provide a clear understanding of the principles of good project management within an organisation and the approaches that can be used to deliver outputs on time through efficient and effective management of the workforce. The module will include how to work effectively as a supervisor within a project team where you are helping to deliver the project. It is not expected that you are the project manager.

    Pre Course Activity - Participants will be expected to complete an online template explaining the type of projects they are likely to work on. This information will be used by tutors to frame the activities on the one day workshop.

    • Understand how a project is monitored and controlled and the role you play in keeping things to plan
    • Attend project review meetings and play your part effectively in communicating progress to plan etc
    • Be completely clear about the project priorities and stakeholders involved
