    This Course is Aimed at

    Operational staff and their supervisors working in pharmaceutical distribution warehouses and transport. This applies to all modules. 

    Overview

    This elearning is split into three modules. The modules cover the following information:

    Module 1: Regulators

    This module will cover regulators, including Good Distribution Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), General European Pharmacy (GEP), GPD, etc. it will consider what is regulated and what isn’t.

    Module 2: The quality system

    This module will consider various elements of the quality system. It is split into the following four sections:

    • Section 1: Quality Management and Personnel - Including the roles of Responsible Persons.
    • Section 2: Documentation – Standard Operating Procedures & Records
    • Section 3: Premises and Equipment – Including temperature-controlled storage and Storage & Transport Conditions and Stock Management
    • Section 4: Security – Including falsified medicines and Complaints, Returns and Recalls

    Module 3: MHRA inspections

    This module is a brief overview of how to prepare and host MHRA inspections including self-inspections and audits. 

    This course is suitable for operational staff and their supervisors working in pharmaceutical distribution warehouses and transport. This applies to all modules. 

    Learning Outcomes

    At the end of the course delegates should:

    • Understand the regulatory requirements and constraints facing wholesalers and distributors of medicinal products
    • Have an overview of EU regulations and guidance and other sources of information
    • Be able to manage the company’s activities:
    • Develop the organisation’s process
    • Understand and analyse the potential risks to product safety
    • Identify the controls necessary to ensure compliance with GMP/GDP regulations and guidelines
    • Operate effectively in a competitive, regulated market
