    Our one-day Export Training provides an overview into the rules and regulations to ensure compliance when handling and distributing medicinal products in the UK for the Export market.  

     

    The pharmaceutical industry is a highly regulated sector where the paramount focus on minimising the risk to patient safety has led to significant changes in recent years.

     

    The course would be beneficial for any personnel involved in export pharmaceutical distribution model looking to obtain a more in-depth understanding of export and the regulations a Wholesale Distributor of medicinal products must adhere to. The course will also provide an insight into the competent authority and their role in ensuring patient safety outside the EEA.

    Learning Outcomes

    The delegate will:

    • Be provided with a greater understanding of the rules and regulations with regards to exporting medicinal products;
    • Understand their role and responsibilities in relations to the documentation retention and record management to ensure traceability of exported medicinal products and the measures taken to prevent diversion;
    • Understand the importance of data integrity and continuity of information from one export document to another;
    • Know how to carry out due diligence on export customers to ensure they are authorised to receive the specific medicinal products they have ordered including conducting third party verification checks;
    • Recognise the significance of risk assessing and validating transportation routes to ensure product quality and integrity and preventing diversion;
    • Comprehend the complexities of a transportation route to an export country and appreciate each country will have their own local requirements, regulations or restrictions;
    • Comprehend the importance of assessing outsourced freight forwarders/transportation solutions prior to and while trading to ensure compliance;
