    Overview

    The main aims of this Bolted Fastener Training Outline are as follows:

    • To ensure good engineering practices when undertaking the assembly of gasketed joints.
    • Indicate the requirements for the correct and safe assembly of jointed systems.
    • To impart and specify the training requirements that underpin and validate the Engineering Technician to undertake the preferred and safe assembly of jointed systems.
    • This training can also be used as supporting evidence when undertaking an EMTA NVQ unit of accreditation.
